San Antonio Gets It's Marathon BACK!

The last time San Antonio hosted it's own local marathon was in 2007. Just a little over 10 years later San Antonio is back in the Marathon Business. Purpose.Race Events has been hosting folks from over 46 states and 3 countries with the Alamo 13.1 Half Marathon. This year they will add a Marathon to the event. RUN THE ALAMO :2018 will be held on March 4th, 2018. RUN THE ALAMO (www.runthealamo.com) will include: Alamo 26.2 Marathon, Alamo 13.1 Half, Alamo 3.1/6.2 Doughnut Dash (5k & 10k). Due to the construction in and around Alamo Plaza this years event will begin on Alamo St. in front of Hemisfair Park (HParc) and will finish in the shadow of the Tower of The Americas. The course will still take you by the event's name sake, The Alamo. The course is available online at www.runthealamo.com . It is great to have a local company hosting a truly "Home Grown, Down Home" Marathon and Half Marathon.
